Komodo Liveaboard Trip report - May 3rd, 2013

After a welcome to a new family, Sam, Ben Sarah and Michel and welcome back to Angelica, Arthur, Rumi, Aaron, David, Daniel, Liz and DMT Marc we were ready to head out again to the National Park. The sunset on the way was beautiful and went well together with some drinks and good company, after dinner the Toothbrush game started and peope came up with great idea's to hide and to kill already. And in between that we played some UNO as well. We played Japanese, France rules with some Ozzy final touch. End of the day on board our Komodo Diving Liveaboard.

First day easy checkout dive for some people and for others some easy going dive to search for witches and for some people adventure deep dives. So it had it all for everybody.
After that it was diving the north of the national park. Castle had a beautiful school of batfish hanging around all dive and some other schools of fish. Crystal was great. The second bommie looked great with all his soft corals open for the water passing by.
After that it was time to relax, read a book, go to the beach, have a snooze and anything else you want to do.
At night the sky was filled with stars really beautiful. David knew all about the stars and was showing us all the concellations while Marsel was playing guitar for us. Great night

Next day hardcore day with 4 dives. W moved to the central of the NP to dive Batu Bolong as a first dive. It was very much alive and with that a mana decided to pass by as well, just as Diego told in the briefing. After that Manta time in Karang Makassar. everybody saw them and some people even saw eagle rays, turtle and sharks as well. Great dive and the coral garden at the end of the dive is a good lace to finish the dive off.
Tatawa was special. A good way to find out all about the currents in Komodo. One second you can dive at a side and a second later the current is pulling you down and out of the reef. Wow that went so quick, Luckily all the dive guides kept all the divers really safe and that's because all the divers kept an eye on the dive guides during the dives. So we just went around the corner for some more sheltered place and there was a lot to look at.
For the night dive we went to Wainilu. Some guests went snorkeling and others diving it was great for all. the snorkelers found an octopus and 2 fluffy sea snakes. Never seen before be Diego or the guests themselves. Massimo and Marsel found frog fish for there guests.

Last dive was a refreshing one on Penga. A little bit chilly but a great place for nudi's and everybody found loads.
After all that it was time for bigger animals so we went to see the dragons. Nobody got eaten and we saw quite a few. So it was a good trip .
And when that was insisted it was time for some people to finish of courses and packing up luggage and dive gear  because we were heading back to LBJ.
Thank you all it was a great trip!
