SIMILAN ISLANDS LIVEABOARD TRIP # 23 (15/01/09)

15 of January 2009. The MV Angel Parinee liveaboard set off once again to paradise, the Similan Islands.... Great fun once again for 2 nights and 3 days. Tuk was the trip leader and taught 3 for thier Open Water Diver Course. Church and Henrik also came along on board and took the fun divers out on tour and...Oh Yes! the wicked Belgian man, Filip joined us this trip as a Jr. snorkeling guide.

The first dive location for this trip was Honeymoon Bay, the most beautiful beach on paradise for a check dive on to West Of Eden with lots of beautiful Sea Fans, fancy boulders covered tonnes of Glassfish and Fusiliers!
A lovely morning dive at Hide-away Bay-great visibility with tons of Garden Eels and Blue Spotted Stingrays. Oh! and the Giant Lobster found by Angela, a new Open Water Diver Student. (Hehe!!..I knew that you are now a DIVER!). Weheaded further north to island # 8 dropped in at Wicked Reef (Discovered by Wicked Diving's Staff) with more than 20 m. visibility and the most different marine life seen yet on this trip -2 Napoleon Wrase, Octopus, really cool mating nudi branchs, and a huge school of neon fusilliers. Turtle Rock the bolder reef with a Sea Turtle and lots of Titan (Giant) Triggerfish. We ended up the day at Donald Duck Bay for a sunset dive after the surface interval on the white sandy beach and the most popular view point(Sail Rock).
Day 3 on paradise was the last day of the trip. We planed to North Point but ended up at Bangu Bay because of high winds. A great choice that brought a Ghost Pipefish with amazing visibility. Then we moved up to Koh Bon after breakfast we meant to say "hello" to Manta Rays, but didn't get to see them...it was still a great dive before heading back to the mainland for the last dive at the famous local wreck dive; Premchai Wreck, incredible visibility and we could even see the wreck from the surface! Schooling Pikhandle Barracuda, lots of Lionfish and Scorpianfish. The perfect end.

This three days had a lot of stories, snorkeling, relaxing & camping on the beach, diving in different locations... and we've got three new Open Water Divers.
We'd like to say "Thank you" to all of you guys and your warm visit.
Congratulation to Angela, Elina and Aki. Youg guys who did such a good job, safe diving and see you again for some more!
