Howdy!
We are preparing for the season ahead and getting very excited - many new projects and of course the great liveaboard and daytrips you've come to expect.
But we have been having a lot of questions about the safety and stability of the region. I am currently in Bangkok and it is all business as usual. There has been a lot of hype about what is happening politically and melodramatic media feeding fears. It is hard to get real news inside Thailand, so we resort to several outside sources. BBC has done a great series of clear headed articles - Here. And The NYT has a good article about the back story.
But as you read those articles and see that everyone is aiming for peaceful solutions, the real dangers are crappy taxi drivers and too much beer before you acclimate to the equatorial weather!
Unless something very dramatic happens, and we all consider that extremely unlikely, the politics here rarely affect the beaches, the sun, the diving or the great food. Come on down - we're waiting for you!
