Thailand Diving - Koh Tao

Thailand Diving - Koh Tao

Wicked Diving, may be based headquartered in Khao Lak, but we work very closely with other dive centers around the region to offer the best options to you - our guests. One of the famous spots for diving education is Koh Tao Thailand.

We have a whole section on our website about diving in Koh Tao, all the various Koh Tao Dive sites, some information about Koh Tao's history, how to get to Koh Tao (including a section on how to get from Koh Tao to Khao Lak), Koh Tao Weather and of course Koh Tao marine Life.

Please look for more of these courtesy updates in the near future. Our partners on Koh Tao offer the same standards and safety that we do. We also work with shops on Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe, Krabi and Phuket. Much more on that soon!

If, however you would like to visit the Similan Islands - and you should - please check out our Similan Liveaboard. We also offer courses, as well as the most intensive Divemaster training program in the region.

New Phuket to Samui flights mean easy access to the Gulf of Thailand for Khao Lak!

This makes getting from Koh Tao to Khao Lak much easier. Before it was long transit times or the horrible overnight boat. Now it's getting to Samui, jumping the plane and we are less than an hour from the airport!

The flights will leave Samui at 15:10 & 18:10. That's plenty of time to get down to the airport from Koh Tao!

Here's the story....

Bangkok Airways will increase frequency on its Bangkok-Phuket and Phuket-Samui routes during the high season with a new schedule that starts on October 26, the carrier has announced.

For the Bangkok-Phuket route, flights will leave Suvarnabhumi Airport at 8.10 am, 11.45 am and 5:30 pm. Flight time is just under 1.5 hours.

For its Phuket-Samui route, flights will leave Phuket at 9.35 am, 1.45 pm and 4.35 pm.

The Bangkok-Phuket and Bangkok-Samui flights will cost 2,240 baht and 1,900 baht, respectively, exclusive of airport taxes, insurance and fuel surcharge

In addition, the carrier last month launched a new “Web Check-In” service for passengers traveling from its key domestic routes. The service enables passengers to check-in online and select a seat as early as 24 hours before departure.

Passengers may print out a boarding pass and bring it to the designated counter for quick ID verification and baggage check, if needed.

The airline will initially offer Web Check-In service to passengers who fly from Bangkok, Samui and Phuket to other domestic destinations, and will apply this service to its other destinations in the near future, it announced in a press release.

Thailand Diving - Dive Koh Tao

While we love the Similan Islands, we know that it sometimes does not fit your schedule. So we have started working with certain other shops around Thailand. We are only dealing with places that have high standards, great service and -like us- are passionate about safety.

The first in our series is for Thailand Diving - Dive Koh Tao. This is the very best place to learn the basics of diving!

With relatively few currents, a gentle tide and dive sites that are very close to shore – SCUBA Diving - on Koh Tao, Thailand is perfect for the beginning diver.

The Abundance of marine life and the beauty of the coral reefs surrounding the island have lead Koh Tao to become the best dive site in Thailand for beginning divers. Many dive sites surround Koh Tao, most within close proximity to the island. The water is an average temperature of 28 degrees Celsius with few currents. Dive site depths range from 10 – 30 meters making diving enjoyable for all levels of divers.

We are happy to help arrange courses for anyone heading there. And don't forget - once you finish the KohTao Open Water course, there is no better to celebrate than on a Similan Liveaboard

Koh tao - lomprayah ferry

The only comfortable way to get to koh tao. I used to be a care-free backpacker, but now I got a bit more picky. This ferry is fast, stable and comfortable. If you gotta get there - this is the way...

Very nice place. Not on the beach, but very clean and cheap. Sunsmile@yahoo.com
