Similan Liveaboard - Trip Report October 31st, 2013

TEAM WORK AT IT'S BEST
We just finished another 3 nights/3 days trip to worldwide famous Similian Islands with 13 guests all over the world. (Irish, Swiss, German, Chinese, American, British and Dutch)
When the guests start to arrive at the shop Thailand showed it's generosity and greet them with a bit of rain but no one looked bothered about it. So it was a really relaxing moment for our Turkish instructor Sinan because it was his first trip as the Tour Leader so he was a bit over stressed about happiness of the guests. But thanks to the help from coworkers Christa, Julio and Colin the preparation went smooth and everything was ready hours before the departure.
It was a long night for Sinan because he was always feeling like he forgot something but with the help of his friends things were running super fine. After the boat and trip briefing P'Da preapered a wonderful dinner with five different dishes with three of them were specially made for vegetarian guests. It looks like all the guests were enjoying their first night with some beers and meeting each other and talking about the dives they will do.
Koh Bon....
The wake up call was early next mornig, after a generous dive safety and dive site briefing everybody jump in to water on the west side of Koh Bon. All the groups were really good although it was their first dive after a while. After breakfast we moved to island number 9 for our second dive at North Point. Sinan's group managed to find a white tip oceanic shark so everybody was happy.

Two hours of surface interval and a hearty lunch everyone was ready for our last dive of the day; 3 trees. It was a really relaxing dive for everybody because there was no current and visibility was over 25 meters. We had some mango sticky rice and go to island number 8 for a sunset beach visit and clean up. We managed to collect 2 big bags of plastics so we were really happy.

Day 2 came, and so did some rain - but nobody bat an eye about it and just keep enjoying the dives. Elephant Head, West of Eden and Stonehenge was the dive sites and the ones woke up early managed to encounter a whale passing at the surface just before the first dive, but not ON the dive :(
Deep Six Scenery

For the night dive Captain and Sinan decided the Princess Bay as the dive site and after the dive they were really proud of this choice because everybody has a fantastic experience.
Day 3 comes with a surprise birthday party and a pancake nutella cake for our amazing guest Helen. After our small party the group made two more dives at Deep Six and Anita's Reef and the journey back to the land started where it would all sadly end for those who joined our three-day trip, but was only half way for those on our 6 day combination trip!
