April 17-19 - Similan Liveaboard Trip with Wicked Diving

Similan Islands Liveaboard - April 17th - April 19th 2010

Tuk and Diego, along with Sam and Flor, led Thomas, Colleen, Simone, Michael, Luis, Sarah and Stefan around some of the best divesites in Thailand on this trip, cruising up to Richelieu Rock, Koh Tachai and Koh Bon, finishing up with the Boonsung Wreck – a local site that always provides us with some beautiful new marine finds to end the trip on a high.

Sarah completed her Advance Open Water course on the boat, and Simone took her first steps into the world of diving and passed her Open Water course, as well as completing an Adventure night dive – congratulations to them both!

Always along for the ride with Captain Kaew were the boatboys Poh and Nuk, and we’d be lost without the cooks Pi PA and Pi Lek providing such delicious food to keep us going – 9 dives over 3 days around the fantastic divesites of the Similans gives you a good appetite for sure!

And to burn off all those fantastic meals, time for some fab diving! The ocean came up trumps this trip - manta rays at Koh Bon, leopard sharks at Koh Tachai, plus an abundance of other marine life – so many pufferfish, giant morays, boxfish, schools of trevally and fusiliers, barracuda, hundreds upon hundreds of glass fish swirling round. Sometimes it’s like being in an aquarium, there are so many different kinds of fish you don’t know where to look!

Nice long surface intervals give us time to explore the local beaches and have a bit of a clean-up – this time it as off to Koh Tachai beach – tidy up any washed-up rubbish, splash in the sea, build sandcastles, and play the ‘eeeeee game’!! It’s a lot easier to play than it is to explain, honestly! Don’t believe us – come along on a trip with us and find out just how much fun it really is!

Thanks to Stefan for the photos!

We’ll leave you with a couple of comments from the guests onboard after the trip:

“I just wanted to say that I enjoyed very much the trip. The dives were amazing, the boat itself and food were 5*. But what I liked the most were the incredible crew – all very friendly people, aways very helpful. Thanks for everything!"

-Luis

I enjoyed my trip with Wicked Diving very much!

You seem to have a good reputation for Live-aboard-trips to the Similans. I'm in Koh Tao now doing a Rescue Diver course and loads of instructors and students are wearing Wicked Shirts :-).

Thanks for a great three days to Richelieu Rock and the Similans.

Regards, Stefan

Thanks Luis & Stefan – glad you had such a good trip, hope to see you back next season - wearing the coolest tshirts round town of course!
