Just last week we had a great trip head out the Similans on our liveaboard.
Marcel, Therese and Karina were staffing this trip. Sarah, Nicole, Bernard were onboard as part of their divemaster training course. Taking care of the boat were Kaew, Poh, Nok and serving that delicious food were Pi Pa and Pi Lek.
As the liveaboard headed through Similans we visited Honeymoon bay, Anita's reef, East of Eden, West of Eden, Elephant head, Mooring bay, Turtle rock, 3 Trees and Koh Bon. (More details on all Similan Island Dive sites).
The weather on the Similan Islands was very calm, except for a short storm during the 3rd day in the morning (we even changed the first dive site to assure our guests safety and comfort). Under water the conditions were perfect! 30 meters (100+feet) and almost no currents during the whole trip! Yum
The lucky guests joining us were: Jochen Huuck (returning customer from 2 years ago) and his friends / brother, Jens Huuck, Markus Bartoleit, Dennis Wouda and Edgar Rehm. Oscar Franzen (former Divemaster Trainee and staff member) and his grilfriend Myriam Saadoun, Tom Fowlie, Bennie Anderson and Cathrin Jarnmark (Sweden), Stefanie Menne (germany), Paul van der Cruysse & Marie Meyers (Belgium)
There was not just great diving - there was also plenty of learning going on too!
Jochen Huuck: SSI Advanced
Myriam, Tom, Markus, Dennis, Edgar: SSI Open Water + Advanced (11 dives including one day Khao Nayak)
Jens Huuck: Adventure deep & night
Stefanie Menne: Adventure deed
Congratulations everyone!
The marine life was out in numbers this time. Big Frogfish in West of Eden, Leopard shark at Breakfast Bend, Blacktip Reef shark at Breakfast Bend (snorkeler saw this!) Turtle, Kuhl's rays an eagle Ray and much more!!!
However - one of the true highlights of this trip was Bernie's 100th dive. In a bikini. We won't show the pictures from this to save everyone's sight from failing, but it was....skimpy. (He also paid me a few extra beers to keep it all hush-hush;)
Please feel to contact us about any of our upcoming trips and please have a peaceful holiday season.
