Mantis shrimps are very very cool. Colorful, pretty, quick and very painful. They are usually hidden away in their lairs, but Church got a very nice picture of this one out in the open. It takes a good eye and lots of patience to get these guys in nice poses like this.
But it just goes to show - the big stuff is easy to find. It takes a lot more work to find and really savour these small moments. Nothing philosophical there...just pointing out a good diving tip.
