Diving the Similan Islands - our environmental policy

A DIFFERENT KIND OF DIVING

Environmental Policies.

We share your passion for scuba diving and marine life, along with protecting and preserving the environment. Taking care, and respecting the environment around us is a focus in everything we do. A core belief and practice at Wicked Diving is to be sure to go out and have fun, but be conscious of the footprint we leave behind while participating in these activities.

Boats entering the Similan Islands National Park have to follow strict rules imposed and controlled by the national park officials, all boats have to use the moorings prepared by the national park, and all guests have to pay a marine park fee (already included in your package price for diving with us!) that goes towards the preservation and upkeep of the islands and area.

At Wicked we have taken this one step further and The MV PARINEE not only runs on BIODEISEL, but the source of that fuel is LOCAL. So we help to keep our pollution to a minimum and preserve the local reef life in the areas that we dive, but also support our local community and economy by purchasing LOCALLY. We are very proud of this and will continue to research and utilize any new technology possible to run our boats and operations.

While participating in activities with us, you will also notice that we use only natural and organic materials whenever possible. These range from our towels and linens, soaps and shampoo’s, to the cleaning solutions we use on our boats and in the shop.

What has your shop done?
