Selamat datang ke Wicked Diving
It’s that time of year again. The hills are turning brown and crispy in the absence of rain, the restaurants are hard to find seats in as the number of visitors increases and the students of local tourism schools in Labuan Bajo are getting ready to start their 3 months long internship programmes.
Here at Camp Wicked, we have a full quota of smiley and enthusiastic interns ready to learn the ropes. This year we have 3 students from Labuan Bajo and 2 students from Ruteng joining us. During their time with us, we will be helping to increase their understanding of how tourism businesses operate. The interns’ schedule will involve a combination of activities; shadowing our office and dive staff to see all aspects of the business, daily assignments and ensuring direct contact with guests who are visiting the area. We also have some fun one off projects too, like making swimming floats and assisting us on beach clean ups. In addition, with continued exposure to an English speaking environment, it goes without saying that their language skills and confidence will improve, enhancing their employability when they start seeking work.

Wicked Diving strongly believe that we have a responsibility to invest in the local communities in which we work. There’s no better way to have a direct impact than working with the young population. We hope we can provide valuable, life changing experience in our contact and also have a hand in reversing some damaging habits, such as plastic overuse and littering.
